ITINERARY FOR A TRIP TO SIKKIM

Day 1 : Kolkata to Siliguri

·       Take evening train from .

 

Day 2 : Siliguri to Gangtok

 

·        Early morning reach Siliguri, after brake Frist take private car or SNT bus from Siliguri SNT bus stop for Gangtok.

·       After five to six hours reach Gangtok and explore MG Marg.

·       Book   North Sikkim tour and East Sikkim Tour, Shearing 2night 3 day package cost vary 3000 to 6000 for north Sikkim depend on Season. Lunch, Diner,  Breakfirst, Lachung hotel, Lachen hotel ,all transport include the package. Excluding Zero point, Kalapathar.

East Sikkim tour is one day tour, Approx. 900 to 1200 per person, no mill or tiffin include the package. Only transports.

Document for permit  : Voter card, Driving License ,and Passport photo.

***Aadhaar card not accepted at Sikkim.

Day 3: Gangtok to Lachen

 

Depart from Gangtok in the morning. Your North Sikkim tour will be start from Vajra Stand.Your driver arrange all permit for you. Drive approximately 112 kilometres to Lachen,and enjoy  Butterfly water fall, Dikhu khola bridge view point, and many more water fall and mind blowing view on the road on the way. Take lunch on road.You need to pay 20 rs per hade  as Gurudongnmar lake entry fee before entry to Lachen. Reach Lachen in the late afternoon or early evening. Please note that the infrastructure may not be ideal due to the remoteness and weather conditions. Check into a hotel, and have the evening free to stroll around. Overnight stay in Lachen.

 

Day 4: Lachen to Gurudongmar Lake. Drive to Lachung

 

Start the day by driving from Lachen to Gurudongmar Lake. The route covers 55 kilometres and includes a permit stop at 17,000 feet. Visit the holy Gurudongmar Lake, located in a valley at an altitude of nearly 17,800 feet. The lake freezes during winter except for a small stretch of water even at extremely low temperatures. The region is usually covered in snow from December to April, and rode is covered by snow, enjoy world highest Dosa Pointa at Munre Munneru( altitude 14000 ft) on the road. You may fill birthing problem and headache due to high altitudes. Please carry Camphor or O2 cylinder .

 Take lunch at Lachen before driving to Lachung.Its near about 50 km.On the road enjoy Bhim nala water fall. Overnight stay in Lachung.

 

Day 5: Lachung to Yumthang. Return to Gangtok

 

After an early morning breakfast, visit Yumthang, a valley situated 25 kilometers away at an altitude of 11,700 feet. Yumthang is often referred to as the valley of flowers and is covered in snow from December to April. Spend a few hours exploring the vast valley, known for its rhododendron forests. Return to the hotel take lunch, Proceed to Gangtok. After driving approximately 105 kilometers for around 5 hours reached Gangtok at evening.

 

Day 6 : Gangtok to East Sikkim

 

This is a shared group tour to Changu-Babamandir/Nathula Pass and Tsomgo Lake. The tour starts in the morning at 7:30-8:00 AM from Vajra Stand in Gangtok.

 

Tsomgo Lake, situated at 12,400 feet, is a beautiful alpine lake known for its rainbow trout. However, visitors are not allowed to boat or enter the sacred lake. Baba Mandir is located at a higher altitude of around 13,000 feet and is a temple maintained by the 17th Mountain Brigade. It is dedicated to Baba Harbajan Singh, a soldier who lost his life in a river and later reappeared to protect the Indo-China border.

 

Nathula Pass serves as a gateway to Tibet and was historically part of the Silk Route to Lhasa before the Chinese aggression. The drive from Gangtok to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir is particularly interesting as it offers changes in altitude and vegetation. The tour concludes with a drop at the taxi stand.

Day 7 : Gangtok To Darjeeling

 

Early morning after breakfast ,Reached Deorali taxi stand at 7:00 AM. Book ticket for Darjeeling. After 3.5 to 4 hours reached Darjeeling and Check in to hotel. And book for next day 3 point tour,that include Tiger hill, ghoom monastery And Batasia loop. These day enjoy Darjeeling local market, mall road and Local sight seen,Zoo,Mahakaal Temple etc.

 

Day 8: Dajeeling Side seen, Travel to Siliguri

 

Wake up 4:00 PM. Leave for Tiger Hill after Tiger Hill visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop And enjoy the traditional dress  Darjeeling.

Between 9:00 AM back to hotel. And ready For go back to Siliguri. Take bus from Darjeeling NBSTC bus stop for Siliguri. Board on evening train for Kolkata.
